Function and application of detectable products
norelem has developed easily detectable operating parts and standard elements made of plastic. Thanks to this special plastic, possible fragments can be quickly and reliably traced (detected) by the corresponding detection systems. The detectable products from norelem fulfil the highest requirements for hygiene, quality and safety in the manufacturing industry. They are therefore used in particular in equipment and systems in the foodstuff, pharmaceutical, chemical and packaging industries. norelem offers these operating and standard elements in two versions: visually detectable and metal detectable. They are made of food-safe materials (fibreglass reinforced thermoplastic and stainless steel).
Visually detectable operating parts and standard elements
The visually detectable products are made from an ultramarine coloured plastic. Colour plays a decisive role here: there are usually no blue foodstuffs, so unwanted fragments of damaged operating parts or standard elements stand out on the product surface due to their colour. They can be easily recognised by the human eye as well as by various optical monitoring systems.
Metal detectable operating parts and standard elements
Metal detectors operate very reliably and are among the most commonly used equipment for detecting contaminated foodstuffs. The metal detectable products from norelem are made from a special FDA-compliant plastic. This material is magnetic and therefore easily detectable for metal detectors: even plastic fragments as small as 3 mm³, which can get inside the foodstuff being processed, are reliably detected using induction technology and automatically ejected. This means that there is no need to dispose of the entire production batch or carry out costly retrieval actions.
